Gentle Queen Bees Arriving This Saturday
New Buckfast queen bees have been ordered to help create calmer and more productive colonies. These specially selected queens are bred for their gentle temperament, making them well suited to an allotment environment where gardeners and visitors spend time nearby.
We are currently exploring solutions to the ongoing issues with the main gate lock. Replacing the lock and issuing new keys may be necessary and will involve some additional costs, but this appears to be the most practical solution as many members are experiencing difficulties locking the gate properly.
Work has started on restoring the old pond area, which had become overgrown and neglected over time. We are clearing the surrounding brambles, tidying the space, and replacing the base with a new membrane.
