Rules

To help keep Holden Gardens Allotment safe and enjoyable, all plot holders must follow these key rules

• Keep your plot clean, tidy and under active cultivation
• Use the plot only for growing fruit, vegetables and flowers for personal use
• Maintain at least part of your plot under cultivation and keep it free from weeds and hazards
• Treat other plot holders, neighbours and visitors with respect at all times
• Do not enter or take anything from another plot without permission
• Remove all non-compostable waste from the site
• Use water responsibly and consider other tenants when using shared taps
• No bonfires or nuisance to others
• Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times
• Do not install structures (sheds, polytunnels, greenhouses, ponds) or plant dwarf root stock trees without committee approval
• Follow all site rules regarding vehicles, parking and access
• Keep paths, boundaries and shared areas well maintained
• Always lock the main gate when entering and leaving the site
• If you are the last to leave, lock the gate using both padlocks
• Remember to bring your fob when visiting the site

Please note: Failure to follow these rules may result in warnings or termination of your tenancy agreement.

Each tenant receives a full copy of the Tenancy Agreement upon joining the site.
