Rules
The main rules for using plots and shared spaces.
To help keep Holden Gardens Allotment safe and enjoyable, all plot holders must follow these key rules
- Keep your plot clean, tidy and under active cultivation
- Use the plot only for growing fruit, vegetables and flowers for personal use
- Maintain at least part of your plot under cultivation and keep it free from weeds and hazards
- Treat other plot holders, neighbours and visitors with respect at all times
- Do not enter or take anything from another plot without permission
- Remove all non-compostable waste from the site
- Use water responsibly and consider other tenants when using shared taps
- No bonfires or nuisance to others
- Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times
- Do not install structures (sheds, polytunnels, greenhouses, ponds) or plant dwarf root stock trees without committee approval
- Follow all site rules regarding vehicles, parking and access
- Keep paths, boundaries and shared areas well maintained
- Always lock the main gate when entering and leaving the site
- If you are the last to leave, lock the gate using both padlocks
- Remember to bring your fob when visiting the site
Please note: Failure to follow these rules may result in warnings or termination of your tenancy agreement.
Each tenant receives a full copy of the Tenancy Agreement upon joining the site.
